Bloom Health Hospital is designed to support the vital work delivered by GP practices throughout Milton Keynes. We provide rapid access to urgent care, diagnostics and specialist opinion, helping to ease pressure on primary care, improve continuity, and ensure patients receive timely, affordable assessment when they need it most.

Our role is complementary. We recognise the NHS as the backbone of local healthcare, and our services exist to add capacity, improve access, and offer convenience for patients who are willing to pay or have insurance, particularly when speed of diagnosis or review can make a meaningful difference.

How GPs Can Utilise Bloom Health

For Self-Pay and Insured Patients

There is no contract or agreement required, and patients can simply walk in for urgent care or GP support. Specialist appointments can be arranged directly by the patient through our reception team. We work to ensure all relevant findings, reports and results can be shared back with their GP practice for continuity of care. GPs may direct patients to Bloom Health where they would benefit from:

Walk-in GP support when their own practice is at capacity.
Faster diagnostic clarity including blood tests and imaging.
Same-day assessment for non-life-threatening urgent issues.
Timely consultant input for conditions requiring specialist review.
A smoother, faster patient journey, without long waits or unnecessary delays.

Imaging Referral Pathway

A simple, clinically safe option for patients requiring timely diagnostics

Bloom Health provides access to X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI (as services come online), offering a safe and efficient route for patients who need quicker imaging to support diagnosis. This pathway helps reduce unnecessary delays while ensuring full clinical governance, safety checks and reporting standards are met.

How GPs can refer Self-Pay or Insured Patients for Imaging

Identify the clinical need for imaging that would benefit from rapid access.

Advise the patient to attend Bloom Health, bringing a referral letter, printed summary or emailed request.

Our radiology team conducts the scan, following clinical justification and safety protocols.

A formal radiologist report is provided to the patient, with the option to share directly with the referring GP to support ongoing management.

Blood Tests & Pathology Services

Results can be securely shared with GP practices to support continuity and avoid repeat testing. Bloom Health offers:
