CT Scan

Our on-site CT scanner produces detailed cross-sectional images of the body using carefully controlled X-rays. CT is one of the most powerful tools in acute diagnosis - able to assess internal structures with a speed and precision that other modalities cannot match.

At Bloom Health, CT is available the same day where clinically indicated - ordered by your clinician, performed on-site, and results reviewed and communicated promptly.

Symptoms that may indicate a CT

If you're experiencing these, a CT may be clinically indicated

Sudden severe abdominal painPersistent or worsening headachePersistent Sinus Or Facial PainUnexplained weight lossChronic Chest SymptomsPersistent cough or haemoptysisOngoing Digestive SymptomsLong-Standing Back Or Neck PainPersistent Joint Or Musculoskeletal PainFlank pain or renal symptoms

Clinical indications

X-Ray

Our on-site X-ray delivers high-quality images immediately - enabling rapid assessment of bone injuries, joint conditions, and chest or spinal concerns without leaving our facility.

X-ray is often the fastest way to confirm or rule out a fracture or structural concern. At Bloom Health, it's available the same visit as your clinical assessment - no separate booking, no waiting.

Symptoms that may indicate an X-Ray

If you're experiencing these, an X-ray may be clinically indicated

Pain after a fall or impactSuspected broken boneSwollen or deformed jointBack or neck pain after injuryPersistent chest discomfortShortness of breathWrist, ankle or foot painRib pain after traumaShoulder or collarbone injuryForeign body suspected

Ultrasound

Using sound waves rather than radiation, ultrasound provides real-time imaging of soft tissues, organs and blood vessels. Our high-quality ultrasound equipment uses multiple specialist probes - abdominal, pelvic, musculoskeletal and vascular - for targeted, precise assessment.

Ultrasound is one of the most versatile diagnostic tools available. It is safe, non-invasive and able to visualise structures that X-ray and CT cannot assess effectively.

Symptoms that may indicate an Ultrasound

Consider an ultrasound if you're experiencing

Abdominal pain or bloatingRight upper quadrant painPelvic pain or discomfortLump or swelling anywhereAbnormal menstrual bleedingPainful or swollen tendonScrotal or testicular painUrinary symptomsLeg or calf swellingNeck lump or thyroid concern

Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An ECG records the electrical activity of the heart through electrodes placed on the skin - providing rapid, non-invasive information about heart rhythm, rate and conduction. It is one of the first investigations performed when cardiac symptoms are present.

At Bloom Health, an ECG can be performed immediately as part of your clinical assessment - no separate appointment, no delay in identifying whether a cardiac cause is contributing to your symptoms.

Symptoms that may indicate an ECG

If you're experiencing these, an ECG may be clinically indicated

Palpitations or racing heartIrregular heartbeatDizziness or light-headednessFatigue with exertionSensation of skipped beatsPre-operative cardiac screeningMonitoring a known condition

Echocardiogram (Echo)

An echocardiogram uses ultrasound technology to produce real-time images of the heart - its chambers, valves, walls and overall function. It provides clinical information that an ECG alone cannot deliver, and is the gold standard for assessing structural cardiac conditions.

At Bloom Health, echocardiograms are performed using our advanced ultrasound equipment by a qualified clinician - with results reviewed and discussed in the context of your symptoms and overall assessment.
